We are adopting again.

Torey and I have decided to add to our family.  We are super excited and can not wait to see whom the Lord has for us.  I have most of the dossier done and our social worker is meeting with us on Labor day.  We are adopting from China again.  It really didnt matter from which country but after looking at prices, China seems to be the most affordable place to adopt from.  We also have other children from China.  South Korea will not let us adopt from their country again as we have too many kids.  The African countries cost more than China from what I could tell and some have children in the home limits.  Eastern Europe is honestly a place we have never looked closely at, mainly because of the FAS that is highly likely over there. We have thrown around domestically but cost, is another factor and the fact we have a big family and it could be a long time before we would ever be chosen.  But honestly, none of that matters, except where the Lord wants us to adopt from.  We have always had a child chosen before we have started the process, except for Emmet.  Its different going in not know for me this time around.  The last 4 adoptions, we knew our child first.  Would love it if you guys would pray for the right child/children to be chosen for us.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming, "Wow, what a ride!" Author unknown

143,000,000 ORPHANS:

It is estimated that between 143,000,000 and 210,000,000 children are orphans. That’s at least 143 MILLION children in the world today. (Recent UNICEF report.)

To give you an idea of the enormity of this need, keep in mind that the approximate population of the US is 300,000,000; and the population of Russia is 141,800,000.)

There are more orphans in Sub-Sahara Africa than ALL of the children
in Denmark, Ireland, Norway, Canada, and Sweden – combined!
