Soccer for Emmet

This is Emmets second year of soccer.  He got hurt last year and ended up in a cast all summer.  He had a older boy step on the inside of his ankle with his cleat.  He sat out the next few games and I thought it would be fine.  After running though he would complain of it hurting.  We finally took him to the doctor who took an x-ray.  In the x-ray it looked fine, so he sent him off for a mri.  The mri showed bruising on the bone.  Something that usually heals on its own, but because Emmet is a mover and a shaker, it never got the chance.    Having the cast and crutches on for 6 weeks and another 2 weeks without the crutches, gave it time to heal.  Im praying there are no injuries this year.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming, "Wow, what a ride!" Author unknown

143,000,000 ORPHANS:

It is estimated that between 143,000,000 and 210,000,000 children are orphans. That’s at least 143 MILLION children in the world today. (Recent UNICEF report.)

To give you an idea of the enormity of this need, keep in mind that the approximate population of the US is 300,000,000; and the population of Russia is 141,800,000.)

There are more orphans in Sub-Sahara Africa than ALL of the children
in Denmark, Ireland, Norway, Canada, and Sweden – combined!
