Day 4

Today was a turning point.  Her swelling had gone down quite a bit.  Still there but now near as bad.  She can close her mouth and drink now.  She also had a bath in the morning.   She didnt enjoy but I knew she would feel better afterwards.  I stayed home from church with her.  She did put a little tiny bit of pressure on her leg today.  Im still carrying her to the bathroom.  Has not gone number 2 since the surgery.  : (  She has eaten mashed potatoes with gravy, milkshake, baby food prunes, applesauce, cream of chicken soup watered down and odwalla nakes juices.  The squeezable applesauce is very convenient to use.  I also have a bendable plastic spoon that has been great to feed her with.  She does have blood stuck in her one nostril that makes her talking sound plugged up, but she can not blow her nose ( per doctor instructions).  Hoping it will come out soon.  Still bleeding out her mouth quite a bit.  She did sit up today on the couch and was so excited as it didnt hurt to bad, she said.  Talking started again today too.  So sweet to hear her sweet voice.  Noticed her cheek is looking a little bruised.  Curious to see what tomorrow brings there.
