Molly Mei

Molly Mei is our goofball and her new word is awesome.  She says it so cute too. Mom, our tree is so awesome.  Dad, that deer picture is so awesome!  She still struggles with sitting still.  We call her our little a.d.d. daughter as she is a mover and a shaker.  I bought an exercise  band that is tied to the bottom legs of her school seat.  She can move her feet on those bands and it doesn't distract the whole class.  She has struggled with writing but it is getting a lot better.  In fact she received a "wow!" sticker on her writing paper last week. Progress.  This little girl who slept on a piece of plywood with her diaper held with a rope has grown by leaps and bounds, but is still a little pipsqueak.  It took ever a year for her personality to blossom once home from China. She was so serious and somber.  Now she is the class talker and not afraid of much.  It is so neat to watch them learn to trust and love.  Some children come home and never look back.  Others are wounded and take a while to trust.  Some never do and that makes me sad.  Molly Mei loves playing her D.S.  and helping her sisters and me cook.  She does not like to have to go to bed while her older siblings get to stay up.  : )

Notice her shoulder all up in the last school picture?  She was posing she said. Lol.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming, "Wow, what a ride!" Author unknown

143,000,000 ORPHANS:

It is estimated that between 143,000,000 and 210,000,000 children are orphans. That’s at least 143 MILLION children in the world today. (Recent UNICEF report.)

To give you an idea of the enormity of this need, keep in mind that the approximate population of the US is 300,000,000; and the population of Russia is 141,800,000.)

There are more orphans in Sub-Sahara Africa than ALL of the children
in Denmark, Ireland, Norway, Canada, and Sweden – combined!
