These 2 girls.....

I love this picture.  It was taken in 2005, not long after Charis came home.  Phoebe is in her hanbok and Charis in her chinese dress.  These 2 girls are the best of friends.




  They are very close in age. 
We will never know exactly how close because Charis birthdate is not exact, but at least within 6 months of each other. 


They are vitual twins.




 They will finish each others sentence, can make each other laugh until they are sick, and very seldom fight.




 They love each other as sisters and friends.  I am so glad they have each other.  I never had a sister growing, but if I did, I would want it just like theirs.

It is estimated that between 143,000,000 and 210,000,000 children are orphans. That’s at least 143 MILLION children in the world today. (Recent UNICEF report.)

To give you an idea of the enormity of this need, keep in mind that the approximate population of the US is 300,000,000; and the population of Russia is 141,800,000.)
There are more orphans in Sub-Sahara Africa than ALL of the children
in Denmark, Ireland, Norway, Canada, and Sweden – combined!
