The bathroom

The bathroom is almost done.  We figured out last night as we were putting up the trim with the help of a lantern as we were out of electricity, that we need a new faucet.  The holes are not in the right place for our old one that we had planned on using.
Here is the bathroom the way it was.  My husband took this picture while I was at work.  I would have at least shut the door where the dirty laundry is.  Oh well ,this is the real us.  This is the bathroom that our oldest daughter uses.  We have 2 bathrooms.  One upstairs and one down.

It was painted white.

This is the window I asked my DH to case.

This is after we tore of the pink plastic molding, and took the sink out.

Painting....  It is the same paint color as the mudroom.

Working in the lantern light.  Not romantic at all.  : )

Nailing on the trim.

A peek of how it is looking.  This is the P. barn mirror I bought of Craigslist.  I heart it.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming, "Wow, what a ride!" Author unknown

143,000,000 ORPHANS:

It is estimated that between 143,000,000 and 210,000,000 children are orphans. That’s at least 143 MILLION children in the world today. (Recent UNICEF report.)

To give you an idea of the enormity of this need, keep in mind that the approximate population of the US is 300,000,000; and the population of Russia is 141,800,000.)

There are more orphans in Sub-Sahara Africa than ALL of the children
in Denmark, Ireland, Norway, Canada, and Sweden – combined!
