We told our kids this week about T. Our oldest daughter and son already knew about him. T. had to be fingerprinted and we knew they would not tell until we were ready. There first response was “Yippee!!!!” Followed by where is he from? We said China and our Korean born children said “oh…..” then “cool”. My son really wanted to adopt from Korea again so he could visit his birth country. I told him we did not need to adopt from Korea in order to visit. In fact, if possible, I would like to take him with me and have a layover in Seoul for a day. I am really praying that will be possible, but I also know it will be another plane ticket and right now, that’s not looking possible. Praying about that. We usually always take a child with us. T went to Korea for P. W went to China for M. Now it is E’s turn. I showed them a picture and they ooohhhed and aghhhed. Finally I asked my daughter C. if she noticed his arm. She looked closely and just smiled. “It’s like mine”. I think they will have a special bond.
I have also noticed the first initial for the kids names is really annoying. Not to mention we have two T’s. I have seen people use nicknames, fake names, and real names. Honestly, I am not sure what to do. I want to keep them safe, but their picture is already on my blog. Will it protect them that much more? Is there a risk in blogging and using their name? I noticed I have mistaken and used the real name a time or two. Thinking about this. I took each kids picture out side as I am trying to learn how to use my camera. I should have waited until the sun was not shining in there face. Like I said, I'm learning.
