Last day of school

Friday was the last day of school for the kids.  I now officially have kids in the 8th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd grades.  It amazes me how quick my kids grow.  It just seems the other day they were in diapers.  Where does the time go?  It makes me realize how much my husband and I need to be doing teaching them to love and obey the Lord while they are young.

Deuteronomy 11:19-21a  Teach them to your children, talking them about them when you sit at home and when you walk on the road, when you lie down and when you get up.  Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates.

I am also thinking Miss P. should not be wearing tennis shoes with the dress she is wearing : )

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming, "Wow, what a ride!" Author unknown

I believe in Christianity as I believe that the Sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.

143,000,000 ORPHANS:

It is estimated that between 143,000,000 and 210,000,000 children are orphans. That’s at least 143 MILLION children in the world today. (Recent UNICEF report.)

To give you an idea of the enormity of this need, keep in mind that the approximate population of the US is 300,000,000; and the population of Russia is 141,800,000.)

There are more orphans in Sub-Sahara Africa than ALL of the children
in Denmark, Ireland, Norway, Canada, and Sweden – combined!
