On Tuesday night the girls had a "Spa night". My daughter from Korea has been self consciences of some hair on her face. I think she is beautiful exactly the way she is, but I have also talked to a lot of people the at very self conscience of this hair and they wished their parents had come up with a solution when they were younger as it had caused them grief through adolescences. On one hand, I want to pass it off, but I also know that if I don't help her deal with an issue she has, she will go to someone else or have it bottled up inside. I do not want either of those. I researched different ways to remove facial hair, shaving, waxing and more. But the best idea seemed to be this little hair brush that looks like a toothbrush. A girlfriend of mine told me about it and she loves it. Its called "Finishing Touch" and it did work great. It doesn't shave it off, just cuts it shorter. When we had our spa night I did not tell her about all of this. I just said it is a girls night and these are things that woman can do to make themselves feel extra special and pretty. Its not something that has to be done, because they are beautiful just the way they are, but as you get older sometimes these nights are fun. Which is actually quite funny to me, because I hardly ever have my nails painted. I am way too busy. But it sure was fun. When we were done, my daughter went to the mirror and said "that is just wonderful". Although it didn't change a whole lot, she felt better about herself. She knows that true beauty comes from Christ and radiates out, but I also know that when you get a new outfit or a haircut, it sure makes you feel good.
